We introduced Wet Seal in 2014 because there wasn’t anything like it on the market and we needed it. Miles had a booth at Interbike in 2015 where all the big brands saw it and ripped it off.. Unsuccessfully. Wet Seal has a popular cult following because it turns suspension to butter instantly. As a result, more than 100,000 bottles have been sold world-wide.
There’s only one refinery in the USA that produces this proprietary formula and it cannot be replicated. Knock off competitors use spray can’s which emit harmful gasses and can contaminate your brakes if not sprayed carefully. Other’s sell liquid contaminates that will degrade your fork by degrading the good oils while leaving a sticky residue on your stanchions.
In the late 90’s, there was a product called “Judy Butter”. It’s was a sticky molasses and supposedly made your fork feel like butter. It made it impossible to reinstall fork booties and picked up every leaf and spec of dirt you rode passed. It was a horrible product.
Suspension has come a LONG way over the decades and some would argue you shouldn’t need to use Wet Seal. They are wrong. Wet Seal creates a frictionless barrier between the fork/shock/dropper stanchion and rubber seal. It instantly increases small bump sensitivity without the addition of useless products like the “SmashPot”.
Friction creates heat. Heat and Friction degrades rubber seals and the good oils. This often leads to seasonal fork rebuilds. Fork rebuilds entails replacing the rubber seals so debris doesn’t enter and repacking grease that was liquified by heat. Wet Seal will have your suspension performing flawlessly season after season.
